Turnitin Revision Assistant

Turnitin, the company behind the plagiarism checker, has launched Revision Assistant, a formative writing tool for students in grades 6-12 and higher ed students in developmental writing classes. The tool gives students instant feedback while they are writing. Ninety-Four percent of students in a pilot study conduced in 2015 revised their work at least once while writing with Revision Assistant. It is now being used in several school districts across the country.

Smart Sparrow

Ariel Anbar, a professor of chemistry and bio-chemistry at Arizona State, wanted to create a game-like environment for a science class for non-science majors. He used an adaptive learning platform developed by a company named Smart Sparrow.
